Working closely with the team and head of department this role is focused on the successful delivery of our education pension service.

Responsibilities:

Develop an understanding of education pension systems and procedures.

Develop an understanding of the rules for Local Govt. and Teachers’ Pension Schemes

Processing of pension forms and returns for starters, leavers, changes etc.

Assisting with the preparation and submission of monthly pension returns

Liaising with payroll teams, schools and pension schemes to resolve pension queries

Work towards demonstrating a rounded knowledge of education pension fundamentals

Ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications:

Sound academic background and the ability to process data accurately and timely.

Competencies:

Problem solving abilities

Attention to detail with the ability to focus and concentrate

Time management skills

Team player

Ability to work to strict deadlines

Willing to work additional hours when appropriate

Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style of communication with different clients and colleagues
