Buyer – Grimsby – £35,000 – £45,000 Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a market leading and well-established organisation in Grimsby who are recruitment for a temporary Buyer for an initial 24-months basis but possible for it to extend or even go permanent down the line. Reporting directly to the Procurement Lead you will support in sourcing appropriate Goods and Services to ensure planned maintenance works are carried out on time, in full, and within budget. Buyer Responsibilities:
Preparation and issue of tender documentation for equipment & materials

Participate in bid evaluation by providing commercial support to the project team during negotiations and detailed bid evaluations

Ensure that expediting, inspection, and troubleshooting visits to manufacturers are carried out in a timely manner

Ensure that detailed purchasing status is recorded in the Engagement plan for the project team to facilitate corrective actions

Conducting Supplier negotiations, ensuring all commercial, operational, and Legal matters are concluded prior to contract award

Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures, and authority to commit process via the Contracts Committee is adhered to

Process Purchase requisitions to obtain goods and or services at the most advantageous terms for the Company
Hours: hours per week. Core hours 8:30am – 4:30pm Required Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in project based buying (desirable)

Possess a HNC/HND with a minimum of 5+ years + within an industrial organisation. MCIP’s qualification preferable but not essential.

Strong analytical skills with proven ability to analyse, interpret and act upon large amounts of information

A working knowledge and understanding of contract operation and management including commercial contract terms and terminology

Good interpersonal skills, influencing and facilitation skills, priority setting, Continuous Improvement, problem solving and conflict management

SAP experience would be advantageous
