Equans is looking for a EC&I Technician to join our team at Humber Energy on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

Manage, provide and facilitate all aspects of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation support including design, installation, maintenance, SHE requirements and continuous improvement of systems to the power and control department at Humber Energy

Ensure that Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality standards are met, promote continuous improvements and to ensure compliance with accreditations and customer procedures including control of work.

Undertake planned and unplanned maintenance, repairs, testing and diagnostics on plant, equipment and systems in accordance with best practice.

Fulfil the role of a HV Authorised person and manage the aged HV switchgear for and within the Energy centre and were agreed and authorised elsewhere on site.

Ensure that the Engineering Manager is kept informed of all aspects of safety performance, plant performance and customer’s circumstances that may impact upon the safe, efficient, reliable and cost-effective operation of the plant/equipment and customer service.

Ensure that all work records are accurate and meet requirements of contract and EQUANS policies/procedures.

Be available for call out when business needs demand

Attend and contributes to relevant meetings, briefings and relevant internal audits

Who are we looking for?
Time served apprenticeship or engineering traineeship in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation or equivalent
ONC/HNC desirable
NVQ 3 Electrical/C&I
18th edition Electrical Regs
IOSH Managing Safely/NEBOSH certificate
HV/LV experience
Experience of Power Station Operation and Maintenance
Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
Knowledge of permit Systems

This role includes a DBS XXX check therefore ability to pass is essential.
