What is a Leakage Technician Apprentice?
Our Leakage Technician’s work out and about in the local community investigating and resolving emerging and historic leakage on our water network. As a key member of the team, you will help with locating leaks using our state-of-the-art equipment from hydrophones to drones! As well as this you’ll support incidents to deliver a first-class service to our internal and external customers.
As a Leakage Technician Apprentice, you’ll be working towards becoming a fully-fledged Leakage Technician within our Water Services team. As part of your apprenticeship, you will spend 24 months training and learning. This will be through a mixture of classroom study (1 week every month), and the rest of the time there will be on-the-job training with a mentor as you work towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard.
To be successful as an Anglian Water Apprentice you will require:
Maths & English GCSE (grade A-C or 9-4) OR;
Predicted Maths & English GCSE (grade A-C or 9-4) OR;
Proof of enrolment onto Level 2 Maths & English Functional Skills
An enthusiastic nature, a willingness to learn & team spirit
A passion for practical work, the great outdoors and exceptional customer service
As well as the above, you will need a full UK driving license (or be able to obtain one in the first 9 months of being successful on the apprenticeship scheme) along with living within a 30-minute radius of the advertised area or within the circumference of the area the Apprentice will cover.
