Maintenance Engineer
Grimsby
Up to £42K
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading fish processing manufacturer based in the Grimsby area. Our client manages the full end-to-end service from catching to harvesting, delivering the end product to consumers.
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to help improve and develop the production of fish products within a manufacturing environment. You will cover the site providing planned maintenance on various machinery to minimize downtime and improve efficiency across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned maintenance across site machinery, conducting repairs and preventative actions.
- Conduct mechanical engineering work which includes but isn’t limited to: dismantling and re-assembling equipment on the production line, assist in maintaining safe and efficient systems on-site.
- Carry out all tasks within a safe and timely manner.
- Manage stock levels of spare parts, planning and regular stock inventory.
- Respond to maintenance request managing level of priority ensuring the downtime is minimised at all costs.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment on-site.
- Fault finding and using rot cause analysis.
- Effectively using the PPM system, keeping the maintenance schedule updated.
Personal Specification:
- Previous experience working within a similar role.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated.
- Analytical.
