Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be helping to maintain all the electrical assets at our Grimsby Bioresources site. Key duties will include:? * Carrying out reactive work? * Investigating and repairing faults? * Safe operation and maintenance of all assets in line with Health and Safety policies and procedures? * Completing job sheets to a required standard? * Reporting back on asset condition? * Ensuring the availability of plant and equipment? * Organising contractors employed where required? * Procuring best value goods and services when required? * Ensuring all procurement procedures are adhered to including SAP and records maintained? What does it take to be a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer? * Possess either an industrial electrical or mechanical apprenticeship?? * NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent (electrical or engineering maintenance) as well as one of the below:? * ONC/OND in electrical engineering? * BTEC/BEC/ TEC /national certificate/ diploma in an electrical subject? * City and Guilds Parts 1 &2 in electrical engineering or equivalent? * Proven mechanical experience in an industrial or commercial environment * Good working knowledge of industrial electrical control systems, such as 3-phase, motor control circuits, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes, general mechanical plant and equipment * Strong awareness of health and safety? * DSEAR COMPEX trained is desirable? * Flexible and resilient approach to work- hours, training and adapting to the business needs when necessary? * Advocate of collaboration, someone who enjoys working as part of a team? * Full driving license?
