Reed Education are currently looking for a qualified teacher with a proactive approach to education to join a thriving primary school in the heart of Grimsby. The school is rated Ofsted 'Good' and has a supportive team of senior leaders and visions for creating a fantastic learning space to enhance education.

Position- Cover Teacher
Type- Permanent
Start date- January 2023
End date- July 2023
Pay- £120-£150 per day
Hours- Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
The job role is for a general cover teacher to work 5 days per week from January to July 2023. You will have a variety of roles including: PPA cover, absence cover, tuition groups and perhaps some one-to-one support. You should be comfortable covering in classes from EYFS to Year 6.
On a supply basis, you would expect to earn between £120 per day and then after 12 weeks, you would be paid to scale.
This is an ideal role for someone looking for a full-time teaching role without the additional workload of planning, report writing and parents' evenings. You will be able to develop some fantastic relationships with both children and teachers and you will be a valued and
Responsibilities:
Delivering pre-planned lessons to a class of children using a range of stimulating and engaging techniques
Marking work throughout the lesson and giving children feedback to check dependent on the school’s marking policy
Leading intervention groups
Attending staff meetings, training days and additional CPD as required
Building and maintaining excellent relationships with the children, teachers, support staff and parents
Supervising breaktimes
Deploying any support staff effectively within the class
Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Understanding of safeguarding and reporting any incidents, disclosures or concerns to the designated safeguarding lead
Requirements:
QTS or PGCE equivalent (essential)
Experience of working in schools, preferably in a KS2 class
Hold a DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one
