Role Overview:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be part of the senior leadership team at a chilled foods site producing soups and sauces for major retail customers.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the site technical team, consisting of 4 direct reports (Hygiene Manager, QA Manager, Technical Compliance Manager, Raw Materials Manager) and an overall headcount of 35 people, 

Ensuring technical and legislative compliance across a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Working with colleagues in senior management team to develop and implement site strategy

Proactively working with managers and colleagues across the business to ensure all technical and quality standards are maintained and in line with statutory, business, and customer requirements

Developing your team and promoting a proactive culture, constantly looking for new, more effective ways of working

Being the key technical contact with key retail customers, managing ongoing relationships, and responding quickly to any technical related issues

As part of the wider Meals Solutions technical function, collating and reporting on data to identify trends and areas for improvement

About You:

Prior experience of leading a Technical or Quality team in a chilled/high-care food manufacturing environment

Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and develop teams to drive performance and improve engagement

KPI and data focused, able to collate and analyse data to identify trends and put corrective actions in place

Demonstrable experience of building strong working relationships with major retailers and a sound knowledge of codes of practice and systems

Proactive in approach, with experience of improving systems and processes

Level 4 in Food Safety & HACCP
