Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are working in partnership with a global packaging company based in Grimsby to recruit for experienced Warehouse Operatives on a permanent basis. You’d be joining an already successful team assisting with daily tasks and hitting weekly targets.
Day to day you will be ensure the warehouse is ran smoothly, managing daily orders and maintaining an organised, safe warehouse space. You will also be required to safely operate a counterbalance forklift truck, rotating stock around site and loading/unloading vehicles.
You must have your own transport, due to the location of site and must have an FLT Licence.
What will I be expected to do?
Operate forklifts, loading and unloading vehicles
Handling waste product from machinery on site and making sure it is disposed of safely
Accurate dispatch of orders including scanning, labelling, and palletising
Completing checks on all machinery and equipment on site prior to them being used.
What skills do I need?
Team player able to see their contribution to the overall service including KPI targets
Able to work under supervision
Highly motivated, able to work on own initiative and show pride in their work
Good timekeeping, flexible when required
Willing to commit to a program of continuous improvement
Accurate and good attention to detail
Numerate and understanding of production efficiencies
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
What hours will I be working?
Your working week will be spilt up in to rotating shifts on a 5/2 basis including days and nights.
Week 1, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 0600 to 1800
Week 2, Wednesday & Thursday, 0600 to 1800
Week 3, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 1800 to 0600
Week 4, Wednesday & Thursday, 1800 to 0600
What will I be paid?
The salary for this role starts at £23,400 per annum.
